Creative Age

This was a project with Sunderland Museum and Winter Garden, working with a group of older people to use the Museum’s collection to inspire their work.  For example, the proggie (or clippie) mats inspired our weaving sessions, the beads and decorations we made, were based on the ceramics and glass collection and the paintings and drawings by L.S. Lowry led to the group making re-coloured photographs of Seaburn.

A final exhibition was been made by the group, which was put on show in the Time Machine gallery, on the ground floor of the Museum.

Creative Age was designed for people living with the early stages of dementia and their carers.
